The Fall - Hark The Herald Angels Sing

So I just finished watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Despite its cornball nature, I just feel incomplete without seeing at least some of it each year. Of course, I won't sit down and watch the entire thing- I'll wake up, put it on, and then drift in and out of consciousness with it on in the background. One thing it did do for me this year was cement how annoying I find most Christmas music, at least when it's at its most commercial and float-worthy. Now that's why I'm doing this blog!

Here's the Fall, certainly the longest existing post-punk band out there (existing from 1976 to the present and never breaking up) doing a version of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." It comes from their Peel session box set, compiling a total of 24 Peel sessions that the Fall recorded. They were John Peel's favorite band. This song comes from a session recorded on November 20th 1994 where "Jingle Bell Rock" was also performed.

I think I love you. I've been looking for this for weeks. I lost my copy somewhere during my move.
