Wow, first week of August! Even though I threw together this playlist relatively quickly the previous night, I think this show turned out really well. It consists of three main blocks: a female vocalist block, a covers block, and a mostly 90’s/80’s alternative block. The covers block got a few callers who were really enjoying it, so I’ll be sure to do another one of those in the future. I played three songs from
Stereogum’s Tribute to “Is This It”, released as the album just turned 10 years old. That fact is pretty insane to me. Thus that’s where this episode’s logo comes into play. That cover art never fails to remind me just how much I hate the cover of the
US version.
